Shannon has always had a love for the creative arts. Although her professional certification is in photography, she was reminded how much she loved interior design when she began working for Wamsley Construction in 2018. A few months later an opportunity presented itself, and the decision was made to utilize a portion of the ‘historic’ construction garage to open The Flooring Garage. It grew much quicker than anticipated. Shannon is now selling flooring (and design services) fulltime and couldn’t be happier!
Sami graduated with honors from The University of Nebraska at Kearney with an interior design degree. Home is definitely where her heart is and she was excited for an opportunity to do what she loves, not only in the town that she loves, but within the family owned business.
Shannon and Sami began planning a new business venture while Sami was an intern at The Flooring Garage in 2020. It wasn’t long after Sami’s graduation they officially opened The Design Garage within the same historic location. Sami loves her time spent helping customers visualize their dream by providing them with beautiful hand and cad renderings of their projects!
